Gordon Harris

Gordon Harris is an urban planner, development strategist, real estate market analyst and author. As president and chief executive officer of SFU Community Trust, he leads the development of UniverCity, Simon Fraser University’s award-winning sustainable community in Metro Vancouver, B.C. With a lifelong passion for sustainable practice, Harris has provided land-use planning and development advice to clients from the Balkans to Central America and from the Middle East to China. He is currently consulting on several large-scale master-planned community development projects in western Canada and Australia. His new book, Building Community: Defining, Designing, Developing UniverCity is available now from the Living Future Institute.
