With an interest in design, planning, and social studies—more specifically how one’s built environment influences behavior and thinking—Malaysia was initially drawn to the science and creative nature of architecture and design. Born and raised in the Atlanta area, she decided to pursue a B.F.A. in Interior Design with a minor in Design for Sustainability at the Savannah College of Art & Design.
After having the opportunity to design sustainable solutions and volunteer with various non-profit organizations, she knew she wanted to be directly involved in the advancement, advocacy, and implementation of sustainability efforts within the built environment.
